TVA2020: Toxic Vapor Analyzer

The TVA2020 Toxic Vapor Analyzer from Thermo Scientific™ is a lightweight, portable and intrinsically safe portable gas leak detector that can be used to quickly detect fugitive emissions of both organic and inorganic compounds for LDAR applications, site remediation and Method 21 compliance.

Users can now configure the Thermo Scientific™ TVA2020 Toxic Vapor Analyzer either as a flame ionization detector (FID) analyzer or as a dual-detection FID analyzer and a photo ionization detector (PID) analyzer.

The key features include decreased response times, increased user-serviceability and Bluetooth™ connectivity.

Product Overview

Easy-to-Own and Operate

The TVA2020 Toxic Vapor Analyzer is 21% lighter than earlier models and is relatively more compact when compared to most of the autonomous FID analyzers.

The lightweight and compact design of the TVA2020 analyzer reduces fatigue for true portability and can be serviced in the field more easily. The TVA2020 analyzer comes with a range of options, like a carrying case, hydrogen refill assembly and a basic or enhanced probe.

The optional Bluetooth communication transmits concentration data to a hand-held device containing the LDAR software database, and thus prevents the need to send files post-monitoring and provides more access to route the data.

The Technology Expected by Users

Gas leaks from refineries and chemical plants can be detected to comply with LDAR programs and U.S. EPA Method 21 standards. The TVA2020 Toxic Vapor Analyzer, fitted with the FID technology, measures organic compounds with an exceptional sensitivity. The FID technology allows an extensive linear and dynamic range that produces stable and repeatable responses.

Both FID and PID technologies can be used to configure the TVA2020 analyzer for simultaneous detection and better analytical capabilities. This unique dual configuration can enable a quicker reading of organic and inorganic compounds when compared to a single detector technology and provides more detailed gas coverage than similar-sized PID and FID analyzers.

Once a primary calibration (calibration kit is offered) is completed, the TVA2020 Analyzer can be customized by uploading a tracking route, activating response factors, activating internal logging parameters, establishing a Bluetooth connection and setting alarm levels.
