The MQC+ is a compact benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analyzer, designed primarily for quality assurance and quality control. It accurately measures the content of oil, water, fat, solid fat, spin finish (OPU), hydrogen, wax and fluorine across a broad range of samples.
Additionally, it can assess material properties like polymer crystallinity, density and molecular weight. The speed of analysis with the MQC+ is notably efficient, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, allowing for rapid and high-volume sample processing. Watch the video for more details
The MQ-Auto sample automation system can be used with MQC+ analyzers to boost productivity and efficiency in the laboratory.
Benefits
- Accurate: More precise measurements are guaranteed since NMR signals are generated from all areas of the sample, not only the surface, even if those parts are opaque.
- Cost-efficient: Simple operation and maintenance; only needs mains power.
- Easy to maintain: Users can carry out routine tasks to ensure consistent results.
- Easy to use: Step-by-step operator advice means that less training is needed.
- Fast: For increased production control and a high sample throughput.
- Minimal sample preparation: Simply transfer the sample into a tube, condition it and analyze. Grinding or other forms of sample preparation are not often required.
- No hazardous solvents or chemicals: Since the NMR approach does not require solvents, it eliminates the requirement for fume cabinets, specially trained personnel, and costly disposal procedures—all of which are associated with wet chemical analysis.
- Non-destructive: Samples can be stored for subsequent measurements or for analysis using different methods as NMR measurements do not harm them in any way.
- Rapid analysis: Since analysis only takes a few seconds to several minutes, a large number of samples can be processed in the lab rapidly and effectively.
- Safe: Less hazardous for employees and more ecologically friendly.
- Simple linear calibration: Only a few samples spanning the concentration range are required.
- Simple operation: The purpose of MQC+ is to facilitate the work of technicians in QA/QC labs. It eliminates the need for in-depth operator training and streamlines the analytical procedure.

Options
The MQC+ is a versatile, benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analyzer that comes in three different models: MQC+23, MQC+5, and MQC+F. The MQC+23 model is tailored for high sensitivity applications involving small samples, such as measuring minimal quantities of oil in synthetic fibers and fabrics to improve their characteristics. The MQC+5 model is ideal for larger samples like agricultural products, analyzing their oil and moisture content. Meanwhile, the MQC+F model specializes in assessing fluorine levels in toothpaste and minerals.
This system is equipped with a selection of durable sample holders, or probes, which are designed to accommodate various sample sizes and applications. These sample holders can be swapped quickly and effortlessly, usually within a few minutes.
Each MQC+ unit includes the necessary software and sampling accessories for its operation. Additionally, other lab equipment like dry heaters, water baths, scales, and autosamplers may also be provided.
The MQ-Auto autosampler features a sophisticated robotic arm along with a variety of sample racks and conditioning stations. It includes a scale for applications requiring precise sample weight measurement, and it can be outfitted with an optional barcode reader to aid in sample identification.
