Apollo Solar Energy Completes Form 8K Filing

Apollo Solar Energy, Inc. has announced that it has made a Form 8K filing that contains a slide presentation which the company intends to utilize at future conferences including the China Rising Investment Conference in New York on May 17, 2010. Apollo Solar Energy is an integrated producer, miner and refiner of tellurium-based and high-purity tellurium (Te) metals meant for the solar photovoltaic (PV) sector.

Apollo Solar Energy shares about its expected strategy and long-term corporate mission for the next half decade in this slide presentation. Apollo Solar Energy’s long-term corporate mission is to create materials and technologies that can generate cadmium-telluride (CdTe) thin-film solar panels at cheaper costs and higher efficiency.

Apollo Solar Energy intends to expand its business operations in the solar photovoltaic (PV) sector, by purchasing thin-film solar panels by means of OEM business collaborations with current thin-film solar panel producers, for its expected solar energy project with the government of Ningguo City in Anhui Province, China. Earlier, Apollo Solar Energy established a non-binding Letter of Intent with government officials of the Ningguo City for building a grid-connected solar power station having 10 GW capacity. The project is likely to take six to eight years for completion.

The CEO of Apollo Solar Energy Renyi Hou stated that the use of renewable and clean energy sources such as solar energy helps reduce carbon emissions. Renyi added that the support offered by the government on products such as CdTe thin-film solar cells will help increase wholesale production.
