Kimco Realty and ACE Partner Complete Solar Rooftop Array in New Jersey

ACE (American Capital Energy) and Kimco Realty Corporation have completed a 800-kW solar PV rooftop array in North Brunswick, New Jersey at Kimco's North Brunswick Plaza. ACE is a leading solar developer in the U.S.

Kimco Realty, along with Center Sun, its subsidiary, has initiated a unique renewable energy program for developing, owning and operating rooftop solar systems of commercial scale, at certain shopping centers that are owned by Kimco Realty. Center Sun sells solar electricity through a contractual basis and generates income.

The newly installed solar system in New Jersey delivers environmental benefits that include avoiding CO2 emissions to the extent of 750,000 pounds. This is equivalent to removing 200 cars from the roads and the displacement of NOx emissions to the extent of 931 pounds annually. Together, ACE and Kimco Realty plan to develop efficient and cost-effective solar energy systems towards expanding their renewable energy initiatives.
