Renewable Energy Solutions Technologies supplies a range of wind turbines from Proven. The Proven 15kW wind turbine is designed to generate energy for a 6 to 10 bedroom house. It incorporates a grid connection through which excess electricity can be transferred to the national grid, or supply power to smaller houses.

The Proven 15kW wind turbine has been tested rigorously in extreme conditions. The patented flexible blade system helps the wind turbine to generate power in strong or light winds. The flexible blade systems help to minimize the aerodynamic efficiency, and thereby increase the output, during strong winds. The wind turbine is equipped with a direct drive generator that runs without a gearbox. It produces less noise while operating and requires minimum maintenance. The generator loads are monitored consistently to maintain the blades’ rotation at a low speed and at the same time maximizing the power output.

The controllers help the turbine to run automatically and also to display the power output. The wind generator incorporates turbine brake and power connectors that can be accessed at the base of the mast. The Proven 15kW wind turbine has a cut-in wind speed of 2.5m/s and a survival wind speed of 70m/s. Its rated power output is 15kW and the rated wind speed is 12m/s. It incorporates three blades made of glass-thermoplastic composite materials. The rotor has a diameter of 9m and has a rated speed of 150RPM.
