PROINSO, a Spanish multinational company specializing in distribution of trackers, modules, inverters and fixed structures for solar PV installations has declared that in 2010 the company had surpassed 456 MW in solar inverters and modules distribution.
The breakup figures for 2010 indicate that out of the 456 MW, 318 MW of SMA inverters and 138 MW of REC and TRINA modules had been distributed and the total sales figure reached a €332 million.
In 2008 all of its sales were concentrated on the national market. However in 2010, the sales in the Spanish markets were reduced to 16% (16.11%) and the balance 84% were for Italian (49.82%), Germany (15.67%) along with other foreign markets such as Greece (6.92%), Czech Republic (2.72%), US (3.987%), Portugal (1.40%), France (1.30%). The distribution figures for the period 2007-2010 would reach 812 MW. Proinso, a part of the OPDE Group, has offices in Italy, Spain, Greece, California and Ontario and also commercial representations in China, UK and Czech Republic.
It has a 1,888 strong network of qualified installer companies all over the world, which has far exceeded the forecast given as 200 companies by 2010. Italy has 494 certified companies, 182 in the US, 62 in France, 93 in Greece and 139 in Spain. All of them have at least three years of experience and also a team of installers and engineers who are capable of designing and implementing projects. The network has also spread to other countries such as Saudi Arabia, Austria, Guyana, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Croatia, Colombia, Cyprus, Canada, Ireland, India and many others where PROINSO distributes its projects. The Qualified Installers can make their business competitive with products other than PROINSO too.
