PROINSO Hellas has been awarded contracts for supplying solar photovoltaic systems in Greece with total installed capacity of over 7.54 MW. As part of the agreement, MECASOLAR Hellas will supply two-axis trackers having 2.65 MW capacity. The companies PROINSO Hellas and MECASOLAR Hellas belong to the Grupo OPDE. PROINSO Hellas specializes in distributing inverters, fixed structures, trackers and modules for photovoltaic systems.
In early 2010, PROINSO Hellas inked contracts for supplying invertors and modules in Greece for 10.54 MW capacity, which is 23% of the total forecasted activity in Greece for 2010.
Similarly, MECASOLAR Hellas will supply two-axis trackers having 3.45 MW capacity, which is 35% of the total trackers estimated to be set up in Greece for 2010.
As per the agreement, PROINSO Hellas will supply products such as TRINA SOLAR modules having 4.14 MW capacity and SMA inverters to the photovoltaic solar farms of REW Hellas. The company will also supply REC inverters, modules and two-axis solar MECASOLAR trackers to a plant in Doirani having 1 MW capacity. PROINSO Hellas will provide different installations of 150 and 100 kW for various installers located in East Macedonia, West Macedonia, Central Macedonia and Ipirus.
