This research focuses on an innovative materials technology that allows the entrapment of biocidal organic compounds in biocidal silver resulting in the formation of a powerful antibacterial composite called SilverPlus.
In the quest for alternative energy sources and eco-friendly technological processes there is a growing need for photocatalysts that are able to utilize visible light. Researchers have developed a new family of photocatalysts that are more effective at removing water pollutants abd a patrent application has been filed.
Silicon substrates for solar cell applications must meet exacting technical requirements. Adding surface texture increases light-gathering efficiency, but too much texture scatters light away and reduces efficiency. The Zeta-200 automated 3D metrology system allows quality control of critical properties.
