A new innovative technology has been developed by a British company for producing petrol from elements in the atmosphere. This technology seems promising in fighting global warming and resolving the energy crisis. Air fuel synthesis (AFS), a company located at Stockton-on-Tees in the northeast of England, has shown that it is possible to generate petrol from thin air.

A massive oil spill of over 21,000 gallons near Refugio State Beach has prompted a huge response from local government. Officials have asked for patience as 300 workers on 18 boats work through the night to tackle the spill, with the cause still unknown.
For a long time there has been no mention from the U.S. Department of Energy on dimethyl ether (DME), but at last they are supporting development. The Ford Motor Company beat them to the punch, by announcing that a consortium of commercial and academic organization would develop a DME automobile.
