A new photovoltaic application facility, Meyrin Photovoltaic Application Laboratory, was opened by DuPont at its European Technical Center to cater to the growing needs of the photovoltaic market. This new lab will facilitate the development of next-generation photovoltaic products.

It produces power at a maximum voltage and current of 17.1 volts and 4.67 amperes, respectively. The minimum power generated by the solar module is 72 watts. The NE-80EJE photovoltaic module has a conversion efficiency of 12.60 per cent with an encapsulated solar efficiency of 14 per cent. The short circuit current and open circuit voltage are 5.3 amperes and 21.3 volts, respectively.
Four proposals from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have won up to S$40 million in research funds from the National Research Foundation (NRF).
