Kiln Apartments Building Pursuing Aggressive “Passive House” Standard for Energy Efficiency

With the goal of becoming one of the most energy-efficient multifamily housing buildings in the U.S., the Kiln Apartments building in Portland, Oregon, is pursuing the aggressive “Passive House” standard for energy efficiency. The standard, which originated in Germany, often results in buildings 80 to 90 percent more efficient than the average home in the U.S.

YIT’s Housing Project Recognized in “the Most Energy Efficient Building in Latvia" Contest

YIT’s housing Project ‘Akacijas’ was rewarded in a category of “the most energy efficient building in Latvia” contest. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia and the magazine Buvinzenieris. The competition was organized for the 4th time.
