New types of artificial soil substrates for green houses have been developed at the Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development, Neiker-Tecnalia. These Technosols were developed using sewage sludge, barley straw, metallurgical waste, and ash generated from biomass combustion.

NASCAR Team Roush Fenway to Run Their Cars on Recycled Engine Oil

Less than one year after the Valvoline brand introduced a revolutionary recycled motor oil that stands up to racing’s demanding standards and high-quality performance, Roush Fenway has decided to switch all its Sprint Cup and Nationwide teams to Valvoline NextGen motor oil technology for the duration of the 2012 NASCAR season. RFR will kick off the shift at the 54th annual Daytona 500 race on Feb. 26, 2012.

TGEG and Beltrans Sign Green Energy Contract

True Green Energy Group (TGEG) informed that it has signed an agreement with Beltrans for the delivery of renewable energy technology in San Fernando Pampanga. The gasification plant is designed with a modular conception, which has multi gasification units. A standard MSW gasification system with a capacity of 50 tons/day has been included in the plant.
