Consumers in the greater Houston area now have a free recycling solution for used computer equipment. Dell and Goodwill Industries of Houston announced today the Reconnect alliance has been expanded to the Houston area. The alliance was announced at the opening of Computer Works in Houston today.

Fuel Cell Cartridges and Interface Valves Successfully Delivered to Samsung

VIASPACE Inc., announced today that its Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Corporation (DMFCC) division has successfully delivered sample methanol fuel cell cartridges and interface valves to Samsung SDI. The DMFCC cartridges and valves have been integrated with Samsung SDI fuel cells in a portable electronics application.

Truck Stops Offer Discounts on Biodiesel for Card Holders

The National Biodiesel Foundation unveiled today the first-ever biodiesel fuel card. Officially called BioTrucker Fuel Card, it highlights the availability of biodiesel with a network of truck stops that carry biodiesel. Truckers and fleets pay cash price on all fuel and no fuel transaction fee for biodiesel at in-network truck stops.

Development of Renewables to Fuel Proposed Power Plant

Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation, announced today a partnership with Prairie Lands Bio-Products, Inc. (Prairie Lands) to assess ways to create a commercially viable market for switchgrass or other similar agriculturally based products to serve as a fuel source for up to 10 percent of the power for the proposed 630 megawatt Sutherland Generating Station Unit 4 in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Asola Wins Contract from Solar Providers to Supply Silicon Photovoltaic Solar Modules

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. today announced that its German solar partner, Asola Advanced and Automotive Solar Systems GmbH, has won a $20 million contract from Krannich Solar, for the supply of high-efficiency silicon photovoltaic solar modules. Krannich Solar, which is one of the largest solar system providers in Europe, will take delivery of Asola's high quality products in 2008.
