This module is durable and incorporates a hardened glass, EVA lamination, and weather resistant back cover for durability and improved cell performance. The superior surface texturing process utilized in this module augments the light absorption rate and increases the efficiency of the module.

The Sharp Ne-170UC1 multi-purpose solar module offered by the Sharp has a width x length x depth dimensions of 826 mm x 1575 mm x 46 mm and weighs 16 kg. The length of cable is 1100 mm and the output interconnecting cable meets the 12 AWG standards and is offered with a MC4 locking connector. The max load of this solar module is 2400 Pa. This solar module is designed to offer a maximum power of 170 W, a tolerance of  +10% / -5%, an open circuit voltage of 43.2 V, a maximum power voltage of 34.8 V, a short circuit current of 5.47 A and a maximum power current of 4.90 A. The module efficiency is rated as 13.10% to offer a maximum system voltage of 600 V.

The Sharp Ne-170UC1 multi-purpose solar module incorporates 72 polycrystalline silicon cells arranged in series. The fire rating class of this module is C and is UL 1703 listed.
