Power-one offers the AURORA PVI-7200 W Wind Interface model for wind inverters. This wind interface is used along with the Aurora Wind Inverters and meant for use with low-level wind applications. This interface is compactly designed for use in grid-connected applications and can be configured to any OEM’s specific power curve requirements.
The power conversion efficiency rating of this wind interface model is 99.4% and it receives three-phase input from PMG. The maximum output power of this wind interface is 7200 W. This wind interface has a fused wind input feature and an automatic brake function for the maximum 530 V DC and an optional external brake resistor is available.
The AURORA Wind Interface model PVI-7200 W manufactured by Power-one has an input voltage range of 0–400 VAC, an operating input voltage from PMG 40-400 VAC/0–600 Hz, a max operating input current of 16.6 A RMS, an input over-current (fuse-protected) 20 A RMS, a max out power (at 400 VAC PFC>0.7) of 7200 W, and an output operating voltage range of 50–600 VDC. This model has an efficiency of 99.4%, a DC output voltage range of 0–600 VDC and a max current of 30 A in the brake resister.
The operating ambient temperature of the Wind Interface model PVI-7200 W is -25°C to +55°C. This model uses a NEMA 4X type of enclosure and the audible noise of this model is <40 dBA. This wind interface box complies with various set standards such as UL1741 and CSA C22.2, and N.107.1-01 for grid-connected usage, safety and electromagnetic features.
