China Hydroelectric Corporation Acquires the Husahe Project

Consolidator, operator and developer of small-scale hydroelectric projects China Hydroelectric Corporation has announced the completion of 100% acquisition of the Husahe Project of 19 MW capacity in China’s Yunnan province.

China Hydroelectric Corporation paid RMB 106 million ($15 million) in seller notes and cash, a portion or all of which might be refinanced using non-recourse bank debt taken from local banks in China. On 14 April 2010, China Hydroelectric Corporation announced the implementation of this acquisition’s definitive agreement. Before implementing this definitive agreement, China Hydroelectric Corporation had inked a memorandum of understanding for this acquisition.

China Hydroelectric Corporation also has a pending acquisition of the Xiaopengzu Project of 44 MW capacity in the same province for which the company continues to take steps to complete the acquisition.
