Energy services firm serving the commercial properties in the Mid-Atlantic area Pro-Tech Energy Solutions LLC has installed solar photovoltaic (PV) generation systems on the rooftops of two Cold Storage warehouses of Fond du Lac located in Edison, New Jersey.
The COO of Pro-Tech Energy Solutions John Drexinger stated that in 2009 the solar electric installations in New Jersey increased by 153%; moreover, the New Jersey state is known for its attractive loans, grants, tax incentives and incentive programs.
The solar systems installed at the warehouses of Fond du Lac at 275 Mill Road of 417,000 W capacity and 78-90 Saw Mill Pond Road of 591,000 W capacity, will help decrease the demand on the energy grid especially during peak energy periods. The two systems will account for nearly 45% of the annual electricity needs of Fond du Lac.
Every year the power savings resulting from the production of renewable energy will avoid 1,459,808 pounds of CO2 from entering into the earth’s atmosphere, which equals avoiding the use of 1,865 barrels of oil and conserving 5.6 acres of forest.
