Urban Green Energy offers the UGE-4K model vertical axis wind turbine. This grid connected wind turbine can produce enough power to power a home even at 6 km/h wind speed.
The UGE-4K model can be installed on a tower, over a roof or in any convenient place. The rotor deployed in this wind turbine was a width x height measurement of 3 m x 4.4 m and covers a sweep area of 8.8 m2. This wind turbine is offered with a standard tower measuring 7 m in height and the gross weight of the wind turbine is 444 kg.
The UGE-4K model vertical axis wind turbine provided by Urban Green Energy utilizes a electronic over speed protection (MPPT) brake system. The blades of this model are made of carbon fiber and fiberglass and offers 125 rpm. The cut-in wind speed of this wind turbine is 3.5 m/s, and its cut out wind speed is 30 m/s. The rated wind speed of this wind turbine is 12 m/s and this wind turbine is designed to survive a maximum wind speed of 50 m/s. The generated noise of this wind turbine within three meters at <7 m/s speed is 39 dB and at 7-10 m/s speed is 45 dB and noise within three meters at 10-13 m/s is 50 dB.
The UGE-4K model wind turbine utilizes a permanent magnet generator and a direct drive system offering 125 rpm speed. This wind turbine model is designed to work in temperature -40 to 115ºC.
