Trina Solar Limited Partners with Renault F1 Team

Trina Solar Limited by means of its Trina Solar (Switzerland) AG subsidiary has now become one of the Renault F1 Team’s sponsors. Trina Solar Limited is a solar photovoltaic (PV) product manufacturer that produces wafers, cells and ingots and also assembles PV modules. This partnership is likely to increase the global brand awareness of Trina Solar Limited and also promote sustainable technology adoption rates.

As per the partnership, the logo of Trina Solar Limited will be displayed on the R30 race car’s nose. Moreover, the solar PV technology’s day-to-day applications will be showcased in different high-visibility places of the F1 team’s operations such as the VIP hospitality and paddock motor home facilities of the team.

The Renault F1 Team and Trina Solar Limited will carry out joint evaluation and analysis program for assessing the possibility of integrating Trina Solar Limited’s technologies into ongoing upgrades and operations of the Enstone production facilities of the F1 team in a cost-effective, performance-proven manner.

The Formula One sport represents high levels of technological innovation. The Renault F1 Team was chosen by Trina Solar Limited as a partner due to the commitment shown by the Renault Group toward green automotive technologies.

The Chairman of the Renault F1 Team Gerard Lopez commented that the partnership with Trina Solar Limited will help the team decrease its environmental impact as well as pursue mutual opportunities through a Genii Capital portfolio firm Helios Max.
