Arcon Solar HT Solar Collectors from Woodheat

Woodheat offers HT solar collectors manufactured by Arcon Solar. The bigger sized soar collectors are used with large scale systems. The solar glass utilized in the module has a unique design to concentrate the received light rays to increase the performance and lessen the energy loss over the glass surface.

The SunStrip NIOX absorber used in the module is coated with an absorbing nickel oxide film. The absorber efficiently converts up to 96% of the radiation in to power. The absorber surface of this module measures 12.5 m² thus offering 35% increased efficiency than the normal 2.5 m² sized collectors.

The SunArc anti reflective coating used in the module reduces the reflection losses and increases the thermal conductivity. The net area of this module is 12.53 m² and its gross area is 13.5 m². The test pressure of this solar collector is 13 bar and its max working pressure is 4 bar. This solar collector holds a fluid volume of 8.5 L. This Arcon Solar collector offered by Woodheat is connected to a flex pipe by using a 2 mm x 22 mm clamping ring. This module utilizes 16 parallel channels and two branch pipes.

For the purpose of increasing the performance of the solar collectors by 12% an optional anti reflective coating is available. This optional coating is more useful in places with low sun energy and for use in constructions with low pitched roof.  The optional Teflon insulation can be equipped between the glass of the solar collector and the absorber to prevent the circulation of air between the absorber and the solar glass to minimize the heat loss.
