Seistronix offers the Exploration Seismograph. The seismographs are available in RAS-72, 96, and 120 models with 72, 96 and 120 number of channels. The RAS-120 is a high resolution signal improvement seismograph normally used in shall refraction and reflection surveys and a range of geophysical researches.
The RAS-120 operates utilizing Windows XP/Vista packages and the used software module incorporates similar functional interface to make the software module usage relatively easy. The design of the software allows easy and quick configuration of the system for refraction or 2D reflection of surveys and same software can be used for reviewing the field data at the office.
The RAS-120 Seismograph offered by Seistronix allows easy performing of a range of tests such as geophone resistance, geophone pulse, amplifier noise, amplifier pulse, phase similarity, geophone similarity, gain similarity, sine wave, dynamic range, channel to channel crosstalk, CMR, A/D offsets, system timing accuracy and leakage. These tests are performed to check the proper functioning of the system and accurate recording of data without utilizing any external equipment or connections. Some of tests included in the RAS-120 seismograph allow easy finding of geophone and cable problems before the occurrence of data corruption.
The RAS-120 incorporates an advanced feature that allows maintaining of an integrated observers log with each record and a time stamp log for each recorded activity. This feature allows easy retracing of the field events. The adjustable filters incorporated in the model allows independent configuration. The signal enhancement feature included in the module allows united stacking of successive shots to improve the signal noise ratio. For the purpose of studying shear waves, individual shots can be stacked or unstacked as preferred with an option to change the polarity.
