RLG Properties Launches “The Mews in Atwater Village” Featuring Solar Energy

Recently, RLG Properties, Inc. has launched “The Mews in Atwater Village,” a “small lot” development providing solar power as a normal feature on every home.

The Los Angeles city, in December 2004, implemented the Small Lot Ordinance (SLO), thereby changing the zoning codes for facilitating the building of novel small lot single family homes.

The sales director of The Mews Jerry Hoffman commented that each home will be equipped with a solar-energy system that can generate 1 kWh of electricity. Moreover, homeowners have the alternative to upgrade to produce 3 kWh. Based on information supplied by the LA Department of Water and Power (LADWP), for each 1 kWh of electricity consumed, the average charge stands at ¢18. Annually, homeowners can expect to save 25-50% in electricity costs.

All Mews homes feature three bedrooms with contemporary style and open floor plans. The homes are priced much affordable in comparison with neighborhood homes.
