UNI-SOLAR Introduces Technology Roadmap for Enhancing Conversion Efficiencies

UNI-SOLAR, a global major in manufacturing flexible thin-film, light-weight solar modules, is participating in the InterSolar Europe event. The company has continued to tread on the pathway of achieving 12% conversion efficiency by the year 2012, with the cost per watt working out to less than a dollar. UNI-SOLAR is targeting more than 20% conversion efficiency in the upcoming years.

The UNI-SOLAR Technology Roadmap necessitates continuous development of the existing technology of the company. This encompasses improving the laminate that will help reach conversion efficiencies of 8.2% by the end of 2010, High Rate Deposition targeting 10% by 2011 and HybridNano Technology which targets 12% by 2012.

Mark Morelli, the CEO and President of Energy Conversion Devices, UNI-SOLAR’s parent company said that the company will offer a unique product with high energy output and high conversion efficiencies.
