AVANTIS Energy offers the AV 928 wind turbine. This wind turbine supplies a power output of 2500 kW. The rotor diameter of this wind turbine measures 93.2 m, covers a swept area of 6821 m² and offers a nominal rotor speed of 16 rpm.
The blades of this wind turbine are made of glass fiber and epoxy resin compound and has a length of 45.3 m. The sturdy blades of this wind turbine can withstand wind speeds up to 70 m/s. The cut in wind speed of this wind turbine is 3 m/s and its top power producing wind speed is 12 m/s and the cut out wind speed is 25 m/s.
The 690 V generator installed in the AV 928 wind turbine comprises an internally water cooled stator with 120 poles per phase, and an external, air-cooled rotor that is equipped with permanent magnets. The permanent magnets equipped in the generator covers up to 95% of the rotor surface. The design idea of the generator allows increased power output efficiency and the generator is enclosed in an airtight box to prevent humidity and entry of external dirt. The generator is stably built to prevent shakes during large torques.
The AV 928 wind turbine offered by the AVANTIS Energy incorporates an easy-to-access design that allows convenient maintenance of the wind turbine even during adverse weather conditions. The direct drive power generating system with variable rotor speed and multi pole AC-DC-AC converter allows increased power production even during partial wind conditions.
The pitch control incorporated in this wind turbine allows individual regulation for each of the blades used to stop the functioning of blades during extreme weather conditions. A secondary bold locking system and a large disk brake are installed in the turbine to meet extreme exigencies. This wind turbine incorporates round tubular type of tower that comes in four sections with a maximum height of 80 m.
