ACE Chooses Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ Solar Tracker for PV Power Plant

American Capital Energy (ACE) has chosen Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ solar tracker for use in a solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant with 20 MW capacity currently being built close to Searchlight, Nevada.

This project was made possible through an agreement between NV Energy and ACE to help NV Energy in achieving the portfolio standard of Nevada. This standard necessitates that 25% of power be produced by energy efficiency, renewable resources as well as conservation programs by 2025.

Construction on this project will help create over 120 jobs for the state of Nevada in the areas of engineering, consulting and general labor.

Over the years, Array Technologies has installed more than 60 MW utility-scale tracking systems in the U.S., Korea, China, Italy and Spain. The company offers expertise in manufacturing and engineering innovative solar tracking systems meant for small businesses, homeowners, corporations and utilities. The cost-effective, reliable, robust, patented tracking solutions of Array Technologies are easy to install. Since 1989, the company has produced and supplied more than 15,000 tracking solutions throughout the world.
