Mistaya Engineering and Second Wind Partner to Integrate the Windographer Analysis Software

Mistaya Engineering and Second Wind have partnered to integrate the Windographer analysis software of Mistaya Engineering and the wind data collection technology of Second Wind into a solution for helping energy companies select and evaluate the most productive locations for installing their wind turbines.

The Nomad Data Logger and Triton Wind Profiler of Second Wind gather data on winds around 200 m above the level of ground, creating detailed and large data sets. The Windographer software of Mistaya Engineering analyzes and plots wind information, facilitating users to track patterns, forecast wind turbine performance and improve data quality.

Second Wind has incorporated a key feature to its SkyServe wind data management portal, which facilitates users to transfer data from Triton Wind Profiler and Nomad Data Logger to the Windographer software. Together, the products offer energy firms with an ideal data analysis and collection solution.

The Windographer software assists users to manage the data of Triton Wind Profiler on import by locating wind speed information columns, measurement heights and wind direction. This software filters and flags data points below a defined quality threshold.
