Unistrut Energy Solutions Unveils Solar Racking Systems

The Energy Solutions division of Unistrut International Corporation has unveiled pre-engineered racking systems targeted at the solar market. These racking systems are an ideal low-cost support structure meant for PV panels in a broad range of solar applications such as ballast and ground-mounted as well as rooftop installations. PV panels are mountable either in the landscape or portrait format.

Unistrut Energy Systems fabricates, designs, installs and manufactures solar racking systems. Its pre-assembly, engineering and added services make the company a one-stop shop of convenience. The National Sales Manager of Unistrut Energy Systems David Devine said that pre-engineered solutions go on to provide labor as well as material savings for customers. He added that four new designs have been formulated for the purpose of meeting dead load, snow load, wind load and seismic necessities of about 80% of various commercial solar applications. Devine added that easily installable systems will help in reducing potential bottlenecks.

The Engineering Manager of Unistrut Energy Systems Ray Szkola mentioned that these new efficient, flexible designs customize the use of affordable materials and products. He added that the company has made provisions for simple connections, decreased the total number of pieces and increased spans in order to reduce the ground or roof penetrations. This makes it easy for skilled tradesmen and laborers for installing the system.
