VALOREM Uses Second Wind’s Triton Sonic Wind Profiler

VALOREM, a global leader in renewable energy production and wind project development, has added to its assessment program on wind resource, the Triton Sonic Wind Profiler of Second Wind Inc. This purchase was done after an upfront rental deployment of Triton Sonic Wind Profiler.

This purchase by VALOREM was conducted after a performance validation study that ran for four months in a southern site in France wherein, Triton was erected adjacent to a tower featuring Thies First Class anemometers. The wind data of the Theis anemometers compared favorably with the information produced by Triton. Trustworthy hub height wind information decreases resource uncertainty and facilitates successful development of wind projects. During this study, the dependability of Triton was validated by means of its 99.7% operational uptime.
