This manufacturing facility on a commercial scale will start operations with a 180,000-metric tonne capacity and also the ability for expanding up to 360,000 metric tones. This plant is currently under construction at Surabaya in Indonesia and is expected to go live in 2011 and will be similar to all such facilities that are based upon Elevance’s biorefinery technology. This plant will have the capability of operating by making use of various renewable oil feedstocks including waste oils, jatropha, soybean, mustard and palm. Once operational, this facility will start producing olefins for advanced fuels and chemicals, esters, acids and a premium combination of advanced biofuels and oleochemicals.
