Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc., a company that develops, designs, engineers and constructs solar energy systems for utility, government and commercial markets in Europe and the U.S., has announced that the third in a range of 1 MW capacity solar energy plants designed and constructed by the company for Italian customers is currently operational. A connection to the energy grid from this plant was made on June 30.
On June 29, a similar connection was made to the energy grid from the solar energy plant located in Monteparano, Italy. Premier Power Italy, SpA has facilitated the connection of the solar energy plant located in San Giorgio Jonico to the Enel energy grid. Enel SpA or Ente Nazionale per l'Energia eLettrica, with operations in 23 nations, is one of the largest energy companies in Italy and generates over 40,000 MW of energy for serving more than 32 million Italian customers.
This project comes under the line of solar projects currently being built by Premier Power Renewable Energy for customers in Italy.
For producing energy at the 1 MW San Giorgio Jonico solar energy plant, 330 kW Aurora Inverters produced by Power One and 230 W crystalline silicon modules manufactured by Canadian Solar were selected.
