Yingli Green Announces 400-MW Capacity Expansion Plan

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited, a global major in solar energy and one of the biggest photovoltaic manufacturers as well as the ‘Yingli Solar’ brand holder, has announced its initial production expansion plans of 400 MW capacity.

The new production lines include a PANDA monocrystalline silicon-based manufacturing line with 300 MW capacity and a multicrystalline silicon based-production line with 100 MW capacity.

The CEO and Chairman of Yingli Green Energy Liansheng Miao mentioned that the company’s accumulated expertise in terms of capacity expansion demonstrated the achievement of significant milestones within a period of one year. He also added that the company’s Yingli Solar Panda Module, with its higher cell efficiency, is anticipated to further reduce the balance-of-system cost of its customers.

The company also plans its continued investment in high efficiency cell development and research for the purpose of delivering high-quality products as well as technology. Miao added that the company is expecting its latest production lines to reach full capacity by this quarter’s end, while the increased capacity and expanded product portfolio will further showcase their global leadership position.
