Innergex Renewable Energy to Develop Eight Wind Farm Projects

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc., in partnership with domestic municipalities and organizations, has submitted eight wind farm development projects. Theses novel wind power projects were initiated responding to a requirement by Hydro-Québec Distribution for purchasing 250 MW capacity from community projects. Each of the projects represents 24.6 MW in installed capacity.

Domestic organizations or municipalities will hold interests ranging from 30% to 50% of the wind farm projects that will be situated in the municipalities: St-Antonin; St-Paul-de-la-Croix and St-Épiphane; St-Séverin; Ville de Métis-sur-Mer; Ville de Gaspé; TNO de Picard; Matane; and Ste-Louise.

Innergex Renewable Energy has ownership in three wind parks presently in operation. These projects, situated in Carleton, Baie-des-Sables and L'Anse-à-Valleau, represent 121 MW of overall installed capacity. Three additional wind parks of Innergex Renewable Energy, Montagne-Sèche and Gros Morne (Phases I and II), are under construction and will constitute 103 MW of overall installed capacity once completed.
