Yingli Green Energy Auctions 2010 FIFA Cup Football

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited, the ‘Yingli Solar’ brand holder and a global leader in the manufacture of photovoltaics, has auctioned an original FIFA World Cup football to Wirsol Solar AG for a sum of €21,000. The proceeds from this auction will assist finance "20 Centres for 2010," which comes under the movement Football for Hope as well as the 2010 FIFA World Cup’s official campaign.

This football carries the signatures of 11 of the top football players in the world such as Kaka, Messi and Ronaldo. The football has traveled throughout the globe collecting these autographs. It is almost impossible to calculate the intangible value of this football.

The ultimate goal of this auction is for achieving a positive social change through the combination of the love for football along with programmes that reaches out to youngsters. Yingli Green Energy will be helping the campaign by providing solar power across the training centres in Africa.
