VLSI Standards Announces Quick ISO 17025 Certification Process

VLSI Standards, a Milpitas, CA headquartered company engaged in the design and production of measuring and standardizing instruments for solar simulators, optical profilers, resistivity, film thickness and scanning probe monitors, surface and reticle contamination detectors, critical dimension measurement tools and scanning probe monitors has stated the insertion of its accredited ISO 17025 certification process for customer supplied production cells measuring 156 mm x 156 mm in size.

VLSI provides perceptible routes to globally renowned metrology institutes and laboratories such as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the U.S., The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) of Japan, and The Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) of Germany. Solar Cell manufacturers can avail the VLSI facility to test the metrology quality requirements of their products to infiltrate into the international markets rapidly.

To authenticate the solar cell manufacturers’ assertion of product performance for internal quality control, customer validation or for promotion purposes, the  VLSI Standards solar certification  process offers palpable measurement details such as open circuit voltage (Voc), short circuit current (Isc), maximum power (Pmax), cell area, cell efficiency, fill factor and , spectral response (or quantum efficiency). The procedure of scrutinizing the measures is effected by VLSI under standard test conditions. The company also offers temperature dependence measurements for the solar cells.

VLSI Standards President Larry Wagner declared that the continued demand from their clients for improved solar cell certification has prompted the new certification process and also faster delivery times and explained how the new process will help the clients to counter promptly to the market demands by exploiting the locally available support, and easy payment facility.

VLSI is planning to provide the ISO certification services from their accredited solar calibration laboratory located at Milpitas, Calif.
