Varian Announces the Launch of the Varian Solion at Intersolar

Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates has displayed its new product the Varian Solion at the Intersolar Trade show.

The product incorporates all the best known features of its earlier product line Varian VIISta like the patented Precision Patterned Implant (PPI) technology along with exclusive new formulations to bolster the solar industry market in the lines of grid aimed at bringing down the cost of solar energy generation and augmenting the efficiency of silicon solar cells, and also carries the proven expertise of Varian gained from more than 1200 VIISta installations.

The new technology allows outstanding improvement in junction engineering that is essential for the designing of solar cells with high competence Varian Solar Products’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Mullin thanked the positive response from the solar industry during the launch. He said the new Varian Solion will reflect the in depth expertise of the company in junction engineering. He further added that the VIISta implant platform will offer an exclusive solution that can improve the efficiency of the module, reduce the process complexity, increase the storage capability and lower the per watt production costs.

Varian Semiconductors CEO Gary Dickerson explained the growth strategy of the company to improve the market by bringing in products of renowned value to satisfy the clients. He further added on how the company worked along with its clients to authenticate the cell efficiency development process, and reduced the process steps by utilizing ion implant in its production process.
