Renewable Energy Center of PSE Welcomes 50,000th visitor

PSE (Puget Sound Energy) welcomed the 50,000th visitor Sara Battin from Seattle to its renewable energy center situated at the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility.

Sara thus got a surprise by earning the right for naming a top wind turbine at the facility. Sara named the wind turbine as ‘Serendipity.’

On July 3, PSE employees showered confetti on Sara Battin. She was presented with the company’s hard hat, safety goggles along with an escorted visit to the Serendipity wind turbine and was given a replica model of the turbine. Otherwise known as Turbine-A1, the Serendipity turbine has a height in excess of 350 feet. The Wild Horse Wind and Solar facility has a total of 150 wind turbines and has a wind-generating capacity equivalent to powering in excess of 70,000 homes.
