SolarWorld Sponsors LA Solar Project to Showcase Power of Disabled Veterans

SolarWorld, a crystalline solar technology provider, has sponsored a Los Angeles solar project for demonstrating the powers of disabled veterans as well as solar energy.

Recently, veterans who have been disabled as a result of military engagements such as in Afghanistan and Iraq have showcased their abilities in installing a temporary solar home that features high-performance solar panels from SolarWorld on the south lawn of the Los Angeles City Hall.

In just a matter of hours, a commonly accessible house was constructed to form a part of the 20th anniversary celebrations under the Americans with Disabilities Act that protects and recognizes the rights of American people with disabilities for participating in the U.S. life of work, commerce as well as community. The home project was jointly implemented by a nonprofit group named Prevent Hate and the LA Department of Disability, along with the U.S. war veterans.
