Southern California Edison Requests for Renewable Energy Contracts

SCE (Southern California Edison) has introduced a request for renewable energy contract offers from small generators. The company is welcoming offers from all kinds of renewable technologies in generation facilities with a capacity of 20 MW and under.

As per the Renewables Standard Contracts program, this solicitation is likely to be the first competitive, open call of SCE for surplus renewable power contracts. The ultimate goal is towards providing a standardized contracting process, which minimizes the required time for getting a power purchase agreement executed.

The solicitation of SCE seeks long-term contracts towards projects that are powered by fuels available in California such as geothermal, hydroelectric, oceanic, biogas, biomass, solar and wind. The company is specifically seeking projects that have the viability of functioning within three years from the contract approval.
