Butter Might Make a Viable Biodiesel Fuel

While the butter-loving majority might be thinking it as quite strange, scientists have discovered a way of turning this particular milk product into the coveted biodiesel fuel. Even though butter had failed the final quality tests towards producing an ideal biodiesel fuel, scientists are maintaining that it is quite possible to mix purified butter along with other animal or vegetables fats.

Triggered by many catastrophes such as the current Gulf oil spill, the demand for alternative fuel sources has skyrocketed. The USDA indicates that annually, the U.S. produces butter to the extent of around one billion pounds.

Thus, scientists feel that is better to explore every possible option in trying out butter as a raw material for making diesel fuel. Therefore, it is for the world community to find out whether butter would really make a viable alternative fuel.
