Yingli Green Energy Begins Commercial Operation of Polysilicon Plant

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (Yingli Green Energy) has successfully begun the commercial operations of its polysilicon plant. The company’s in-house manufacturing facility has been named as “Fine Silicon”.

The successful start of commercial operations, commencement of trial production, achievement of certain key technologies as well as operating milestones, all represent yet another significant milestone for the company.

With advanced polysilicon manufacturing technology based on monosilane and sophisticated facilities, this polysilicon plant is developed to have a capacity of 3,000 MT (metric tons) annually. The plant has the capability of manufacturing high-quality, electronic-grade polysilicon as well as solar-grade polysilicon through environment-friendly and energy-efficient manufacturing processes.

Fine Silicon serves as an essential platform towards improving raw material quality for boosting the performance of PV solar modules. With this, Yingli Green Energy further wishes to strengthen its position as one of the largest global leaders in the manufacture of integrated PV solar systems.
