Crossroads Wind Project Sold to OG+E by RES Americas

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas), a renewable energy projects construction and development company, has made the announcement of transferring ownership of its Crossroads Wind Project to OG&E (Oklahoma Gas & Electric).

This 227.5 MW capacity project, situated in Dewey County, Oklahoma, will comprise 95 Siemens wind turbines each with a capacity of 2.3 MW, along with three Siemens direct-drive turbines with 3.0 MW capacity each.

RES Americas has already developed the project and will go on to construct the same, while OG&E will operate and own it. The project is anticipated to begin by late 2010 with an estimated completion in late 2011. Towards building support for the Crossroads Wind Project, RES Americas has closely worked with the local community as well as landowners with the assistance provided by Arrowhead Wind Energy, an Oklahoma-based company.
