Concentrix Solar Slated to Inaugurate its First Solar Power Plant in South Africa

Concentrix Solar GmbH is slated to open the doors of its first solar energy plant in South Africa on the 1st of September 2010.

The company is a leader in the supply of CPV (concentrator photovoltaic) systems as well as a Soitec Group’s division. Concentrix Solar will be inaugurating this facility in Touwsrivier at the Aquila Private Game Reserve. This facility will have a capacity of 60 kW.

CPV systems suit South Africa perfectly due to its high temperatures, water scarcity and energy shortage. The installation of the solar system at this facility will enable the Game Reserve in meeting all its energy requirements while making a positive contribution towards environmentally friendly tourism.

The systems of Concentrix Solar are highly efficient with its two-axis tracking feature while providing steady high power output. The company has been developing solar projects on a large-scale while delivering turnkey solutions for South Africa.
