Juhl Wind, Inc Associates Construct a New Community Wind Farm

Juhl Wind Inc, a company known for providing community wind power generation, has declared the completion of a $10 million wind project accord with GL Wind, a wind farm  created by Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.

The hospital figuring within the top 100 hospitals in the USA is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin and attends to the needs of patients from southeaster Minnesota, northeast Iowa and western Wisconsin.

The GL wind project with a production capacity of 5 MW and constructed with an investment of $10 million is located in Southeast Minnesota and will be managed by an LLC which includes Gundersen Lutheran Hospital as an equity partner. Juhl Wind Inc is engaged in the project from the fall of 2009 and is expected to offer full fledged support to the building and development of the hospital in addition to contributing administrative services. The company will commence the construction of the project during the last quarter of 2010 and complete it in 2011.

Dan Juhl, Juhl Wind’s CEO expressed his excitement in associating with Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in the wind project. He added that commitment to clean energy from an institution such as Gundersen will make the project financially viable. He concluded saying that the proposed project will be a prototype for their planned small to medium sized wind farm developments.
