Enterprise Biodiesel Facility Inaugurated in Alabama

Recently, local officials in Alabama along with Governor Bob Riley have inaugurated the novel Enterprise Biodiesel Facility.

This biodiesel facility happens to be the state’s first project that makes use of cooking oil gathered from the restaurants in the area towards producing fuel for the city vehicles as well as equipment at low costs.

Riley has awarded a $200,000-grant for the city that was provided by ADECA (Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs) towards helping Enterprise Biodiesel Facility in reducing fuel costs as well as developing renewable energy sources.

This biodiesel facility will reduce the dependence on oil, cut fuel costs as well as provide a greener climate while facilitating the removal of waste that will otherwise end up in sewage systems. Since 1995, this biodiesel project has been worked upon by the city.
