Wind Farm to be Built in Tornquist, Argentina

A wind farm is likely to be constructed in Tornquist, Buenos Aires, Argentina at a cost of $200 million. The farm will have 60 turbines with 90 MW capacity.

This farm comes under the Generation of Renewable Energy program that is conducted by the state-owned Enarsa as well as comprises the operation of numerous wind farms throughout the nation.

This farm will occupy around 1,000 hectares consisting of farms of producers Raul Iriarte, Jesus Rossiere and Marcenac Miguel. The wind turbines will supply power to Puan Pigüé, Coronel Suárez, Saldungaray, Sierra de la Ventana and Tornquist villages.

Construction on the project is likely to start in three months time. This 754-MW wind energy generation awarded to GENRE, the tender, highlights a novel scenario in Argentina that is focused on wind companies such as Impsa, Isolux SA and Emgasud Renovables SA.
