ABB Opens New Wind Facility in Vadodara, India

ABB, an automation and power technology group, has inaugurated a new wind power generator facility in Vadodara, India.

The factory will be supplying wind power generators, which are a crucial component of wind turbines, meant for the global and Indian markets. This new factory will be producing 100 units every month with a power capacity of 2.5 MW. Around 150 people will be employed in this facility with an overall area of 16,000 square meters.

ABB’s wind power generators will be serving the growing needs for components in the global wind power industry. The company’s comprehensive portfolio will be contributing towards clean power generation for helping nations meet their growing electricity needs while reducing emissions too.

Currently, India is the fifth largest user of wind power. Investments in renewable energy are likely to grow in the coming years. Globally, there is an ever increasing demand for products as well as solutions that are energy efficient, as nations are under a lot of pressure for reducing emissions while the energy demand is ever increasing.
