Green Sun Rising Inc, a company engaged in the design, development and manufacture of solar tracking systems, has launched the first ever hydro grid linked solar tracking system in partnership with SCN Energy America a division of SCN Energy AG, a German based company supplying photovoltaic solar equipment.
The complete system is fabricated and manufactured by Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation, a local fabricating company by utilizing the skills of the local work force.
The pole-mounted system does not occupy the precious ground space and can be mounted over park spaces, roof tops and agricultural lands. The land below and around the systems can still be used for other productive purposes. The two axis east-west mounting system deploys a sun tracker that automatically adjusts the solar panels to face the rays of the sun all the time by utilizing an independent controller and a self powered photovoltaic power system loaded over the panels. The company has set up an 18 module, 3 kW solar tracker system at its plant located at Kildare Road on display for the benefit of the viewing public.
Dohring, Green Sun’s President, said that the pole mounted solar systems in addition to functioning efficiently also allows a better use of the ground around its installation. He added that by manufacturing and marketing local manufactured solar trackers and mounting systems, Green Sun aids the city to retain its name as Ontario’s solar capital.
During the past few months a number of renewable energy producing companies have set up manufacturing facilities for solar panels, tracking and mounting systems and small wind turbines, The area is about to witness more than 400 jobs during the initial phase of the new start up companies.
