Noveda Technologies, a company providing web based solar power monitoring systems, has declared that it is chosen by Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), New Jersey’s gas and electric utility company, to provide hosting and monitoring services for the solar programs of PSE&G.
As per the clauses of the signed contract the company will offer the hardware, software and functional backup services to PSE&G to regularly monitor the functioning of all its installed solar systems.
Noveda is planning to provide PSE&G its patented SunFlow monitoring system and access to its active portal to enable the company to monitor all its solar installations across the state at regular intervals. The improved multi-site operational feature included in the system will allow PSE&G to proactively handle all its solar installations with ease by deploying a single operations center. The portal will enable a life cycle window for the total project for the purpose of monitoring the installations in progress, commissioning of solar systems, and tracking their real time performance, thus allowing the solar operators to manage a number of systems from a single location.
PSE&G is planning to install around 200,000 pole mounted solar systems the biggest of its kind in the world to fulfill its mission to have 80 MW installed capacity by the year 2013. The company is planning to connect all the pole mounted units to its power distribution system for selling the power into the PJM wholesale grid.
Govi Rao, Noveda Technologies CEO, expressed his happiness about the selection of his company by PSE&G to execute the contract. He added that the current leadership position of PSE&G in renewable energy market extends his company a chance to exploit the core technology of his company and its innovation. He concluded saying that the real time monitoring will help PSE&G to add a range of renewable energy products in its portfolio and will help the company to lead the market.
