Iberdrola Renovables to Develop Wind Farms in Brazil

Iberdrola Renovables is all set to develop nine wind farms in Brazil with 258 MW overall installed capacity. To this end, Gamesa will be supplying 129 wind turbines with a capacity of 2 MW each for this project. This is Gamesa’s first wind energy contract in Brazil and the company plans to expand in the wind market. 

Under the contract, Gamesa will be supplying, erecting as well as transporting these wind turbines for performing the start-up and the maintenance work during a period of two years. During 2011 and 2012, Gamesa will be supplying its wind turbine model G8X towards this wind energy project. Iberdrola Renovables forms a part of the Iberdrola Group while being committed towards developing renewable energies.
