Second Wind Collaborates, Celebrates at AWEA Wind Energy Workshop

Second Wind is celebrating as well as collaborating at the annual event termed as “AWEA Wind Resource & Project Energy Assessment Workshop” to be held at Oklahoma City during the coming week.

The workshop goes on to gather wind experts in lively discussions on topics such as the currently prevailing wind assessment techniques as well as the future pertaining to wind data analysis.

This annual workshop has been traditionally known as the place for gathering and sharing knowledge on the latest discoveries in wind resource assessments and technology. The company is also celebrating the completion of 30 years in the wind business. Second Wind is a specialist in developing wind measurement systems.

Ken Cohn, the founding partner of Second Wind, will be participating in a panel titled "New Frontiers: Remote Sensing Using SODAR and LIDAR" while joining wind experts in discussing the role played by remote sensing in wind farm design and wind resource assessment. The panel would also be offering attendees ideas towards the cost-effective usage of remote sensing prevailing in current wind farm projects. This session in wind resource assessment will take place at the NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) on September 15, 2010.
